Warrandyte Morn

Still
silence
cicadas
calling out to
all who’ll listen to their electric song.

Still
silence
brush-cutter
screaming out to
all who are close to its gruff, grinding, growl.

Still
silence
cockatoos
screeching out to
all who venture into the Aussie bush.
