The people I meet

I was thinking the other day how lucky I am to be a children’s author and meet so many interesting people and animals in the line of research, promotion and publicity and of course making some money.

Last Thursday I had my photo taken with a lovely lady from the Plenty Combined Probus Group following my presentation. She had ridden Queenie when she was 2 years old. Her friends are going to frame this photo for her as a surprise.

  1. Pat Simmons Hi Corinne, Your book must bring so much pleasure to children, and obviously wonderful memories to adults. Lovely blog. Regards, Tricia

corinne Thank you Tricia. It certainly does. The older people, mostly ladies, love sharing their Queenie stories with me and the children of today now know there was once a beautiful elephant called Queenie who gave rides at the Melbourne Zoo for almost 40 years. As I say in the dedication 'I would like to dedicate this book to her memory, so that she can go on living for many more generations in the hearts of us all.'
