Scruffle-Nut – London Launch at Nomad Books – Saturday 5th October

As I write this I’m busy preparing to travel to London for the launch of Scruffle-Nut, a gentle story about a squirrel and a little girl called Olivia. Together they share a special friendship. Set in 1950’s New York, the story touches on the themes of acceptance, memory and hope.
Launch Details
We will be celebrating at 11.00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5 at Nomad Books, 781 Fulham Road, London. If you happen to be in London or have friends living or visiting there, all are welcome to the story time and launch.

Illustrator, Owen Swan, who I worked with on My Friend Tertius, will be travelling with me and afterwards going on to Italy to begin our next book together. When I first saw Owen’s illustrations of Scruffle-Nut, tears tumbled down onto the computer keys. He has captured so beautifully what I can only imagine in my head.
