Queenie: One Elephant’s Story

I’ve had two wonderful days doing Queenie connected things. On Monday I visited a Retirement Village in Pascoe Vale where some of the residents came dressed for the occasion, wearing their elephant jewellery, bringing their Queenie photos and their memories.

Yesterday I visited Sacred Heart Primary School, Newport to talk to the Year 5/6 students about books, writing and Queenie. I was greeted by the most wonderful Queenie display . . . making more memories.

On June 11, the US version of ‘Queenie: One Elephant’s Story’ will be released and the reviews have already begun. This morning’s was 5 Star . . . a lovely way to start the day. http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/632706412

  2. Carmel Hi Corinne Your photo looks fantastic. The children enjoyed your visit and thought your talk was great. One of the parents saw the display and mentioned that his dad was the director of the zoo in the days when Peggy took people for rides. He thought your book was beautiful. Thanks again.
