One Lone Swallow Book Launch
Last Saturday, December 12, it was so wonderful to have a ‘real’ launch for my brand new book, One Lone Swallow. We were blessed with a sun-shiny morning where we were so fortunate to welcome everyone on the wide pavement outside the bookshop – so no social distance worries at all!
It was such a privilege to launch at this little bookshop, which through the whole covid lockdown, was kept going by Mark and Laraine and staff who home-delivered books over a wide area of the eastern suburbs, a service which proved vital for many.
One Lone Swallow was launched beautifully by Freelance Writer and Educator, Heather Zubek, who was diligently making blue paper swallows until 2.00 a.m. that morning, to hand out to children and guests. We had to be happy with a paper cake which wasn’t quite as good as the real thing!
A very special guest was my 5 1/2 month old grandson, who attended his very first book launch and while I was presenting, was totally occupied by trying desperately to put a swallow in his mouth!
Thank you Collins Croydon, Heather Zubek and family, friends and everyone who came along. It was very special to be able to introduce my new baby this way.
One Lone Swallow has been stunningly illustrated by Owen Swan and published by New Frontier Publishing.
