It’s arrived! – One Lone Swallow – Illustrated by Owen Swan, Published by New Frontier Publishing

This morning the doorbell rang and there stood the masked delivery man holding an envelope —

It was shaped like a book,

it was the right weight for a book . . .

yes, it was my advance copy of

One Lone Swallow

This book has been beautifully illustrated by Owen Swan and Published by New Frontier Publishing. Set in the timeless city of Florence, around 1805. The blurb reads:

In the Italian city of Florence, in a time long past, one lone swallow flies. With a bird’s-eye view of the beautiful city, she searches for her mate …

I’ll have much more to say about it soon, but for now I’m just enjoying holding on to it and letting my fingers run across the swirly, smooth title, marvel at the delicious Florentine end-papers and turn the pages.

Thank you Owen, New Frontier and my family for putting up with me on another book-journey.

corinne Thank you Lorraine. I've dedicated it to Italy, her art, her music and her people and that feels right given the struggles they are having.

  2. Rosangela Ros Sabbatini It will be a fascinating read for us adults too. A swallow travels to a past time in the city of Florence, an open-air museum.I hope to find it soon in our Tuscan bookstores.

corinne I hope so too Rosie. I only received my advance copy yesterday, so it's not in the bookshops here yet. I will talk to Laraine about when it's coming in. I have dedicated to Italy ... her art, her music and her people. xx
