Italy Escape (part 2)

I ran out of puff and patience last week. Below are some photo memories of my Italian Escape with my daughter last month – from Pistoia (very sad to leave) in Tuscany on.

Florence Duomo and the swallows were still flying . . .

there was plenty of gelato

The River Arno . . .

and David were exactly the same.

We arrived in Siena for Palio celebrations (horses and flags and handsome young men)

The whole of Siena was celebrating

and it was in Siena we did some tortoise-rescuing.

San Gimignano is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been

under the blue Tuscan sky looking from San Gimignano

and down to the Amalfi Coast

which took our breath away.

more times than we could count. (Looks like a painting, was snapped with my iphone)

Positano

Praiano . . . spectacular – the drivers were ‘spectacular’ too in a very different way!

Then all the way back up to Venice.

where gondolas crept by our window.

The bells still rang

That bridge is still sighing

Back to Milan where our Italian Escape began and her spectacular cathedral.

What a thrill to stand in front of la Rinascente the Milan/Italian Department store which won third place and Little Dog 2nd place in the World’s Best Store Window Campaign at a Department Store 2016

Goodbye to our hotel The Best in Milan

  1. Chris Bell Wow! The places and pictures are stunning. What an amazing time you both had and how lovely to revisit some of your favourite places, Corinne, this time with your gorgeous daughter. xx (ps. In chilly Melbourne, the beautiful blue skies and summery clothes are enviable!)
