Italy Escape

Last month I decided to leave the Melbourne rain and cold temperatures behind and escape to Italy with my daughter. None of this was a long-time plan – basically if we could manage it, we would – so we booked and organised like crazy and flew to the warmer climates of my favourite places in Italy. While we both did some work, we also managed to drink in the colours and heart of Italy and for me, it stirred memories of more recent and long ago visits. We also made some new memories and how lucky was I to make those memories with my daughter.

Here are some photos of the first half of our trip – second offerings next week.

Hong Kong was hot with inky clouds threatening – I imagined my characters for a forthcoming book visiting this spot, which I know they did. Magic.

Good morning Milan

Lake Como – never changes

We stayed at a wonderful air bnb up the hill. This is the view from the bus on the way up the mountain.

Always a marvel

Time to rest at the beautiful Casanova B & B in Pistoia – perfect
