Escape to Broome

Last week I escaped to Broome for a few days of rest and relaxation. Broome has been on my bucket list for a long time and although I vaguely remember passing through on a round-Australia coach trip in another lifetime, I’d definitely not stayed there before.

And it was magical. Blue, blue water, long golden beaches, playful palms and unfortunately, an over-supply of mosquitoes and midges (not nice.)

It’s the sort of place where you move slowly (it’s so hot you have no choice) and you linger over a cool drink, walking through Chinatown or browsing through the dress and jewellery shops (mostly pearls).

It was also a wonderful place to write – the words just kept coming.

  2. Chris Bell Broome looks as divine in your photos as I imagine and sounds it from your description. It's on my list too. Glad you had a great time.
