Dymocks Camberwell – Hey Mum, I Love You book signing

On May 8 I celebrated Mother’s Day at Dymocks, Camberwell with a special reading of ‘Hey Mum, I Love You’ to a room full of enthusiastic pre-schoolers. While I love presenting in schools talking about the writing process, the research and all that accompanies it, there is something very special about reading to a wide-eyed, totally engaged audience of little pre-schoolers. While some might wriggle and worm about on the reading mat or lose focus when shoppers distract them, largely they stay on track, seemingly hanging on to every word and as an children’s author, what can possibly be better than that?
