A Cat Called Trim – Book Launch Preparation
I’ve always believed that the release of a new book is something which should be celebrated. It doesn’t matter if it’s a big or small event, it’s the celebrating which is important.
As I type this, the third batch of cat/pirate cup cakes are cooking in the oven ready for decorating on Saturday night. I’d planned on making a large cat-shaped cake but being short on time, I ordered a Trim Cover cake which I’ll pick up on Saturday from our closest cake shop.
If you would like to join us at the launch on Sunday at 10.30 a.m. please contact The Little Bookroom – https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/book-launch-a-cat-called-trim-by-corinne-fenton-craig-smith-tickets-55674291304 so we can make sure there’s plenty of cake.
Allen and Unwin Publisher, Erica Wagner will be launching, I’ll touch on a little background of the book, there’ll be a reading and a celebration with black cats and Trim as well as tales of his master, Matthew Flinders. A few months ago, the remains of this amazing navigator and explorer were found at a burial site underneath Euston Railway station, more than 216 years after he made Australian history circumnavigating Australia.
So I am almost set, with my speech written, a new banner made, the cakes in order and Trim is packed in my basket.
