Book Launch – 12 December One Lone Swallow

On Saturday, December 12 at 11.00 a.m. Collins Booksellers Croydon will be hosting a book launch for One Lone Swallow. I’ll also be talking about this year’s story which I wrote for the Myer Christmas Windows. An invitation, with all details is below. Hi Friends and Customers,

We’d love you to join us at the launch of Corinne Fenton’s most recent book, One Lone Swallow. 

The event will be held outside at the Bookshop in Main Street, Croydon and we are allowed 50 people in Covid-safe conditions.

Please let us know if you would like to attend.  If numbers are high we can look at two sessions, one following directly after the first.  There will be seating for children under 10 years of age and some adult seating.

One Lone Swallow is a beautiful children’s picture book, situated in Florence in the 19^th Century.  Illustrations are by the immensely talented Owen Swan, who also illustrated Corinne’s My Friend Tertius, and Scruffle- Nut.

At the launch of ‘Swallow’, there will be discussion too about other of Corinne’s children’s books, and, interestingly, she is the author of the story which is the subject of this year’s Myer Melbourne Christmas Windows.  Yes, the Myer windows that were cancelled, due to Covid, and then reinstated.  Christmas Uncancelled is the name of the story, and if you visit the windows this year you can hear it being narrated by Eddie Perfect.  Reports we’ve heard at Collins Croydon tell us the windows are magical and will bring a tear to the eye. 

It’s wonderful for us at the Bookshop to be open again to let you lovely people back in the store, and a bonus that we are now able to hold book signings and other events.
