My Week – Meeting Kate Di Camillo, Book Signings and Author Presentation
It’s been a busy week beginning with hearing wonderful author Kate Di Camillo present at The Little Bookroom in North Carlton last Wednesday night. She shared with the audience many words of wisdom and special insights into her wonderful books and her passion for writing. Thank you Leesa at The Little Bookroom for a hosting.
On Friday I stopped nine miles from Gundagai at the statue of The Dog on the Tuckerbox Cafe to sign copies of The Dog on the Tuckerbox, illustrated by Peter Gouldthorpe and published by Black Dog Books in 2008.
On Monday I gave a presentation at a conference for librarians at The Children’s Bookshop in Beecroft on My
Friend Tertius published by Allen and Unwin, with illustrator Owen Swan. Thank you Paul Macdonald at The Children’s Bookshop for having us.
It was also fun to catch up with illustrator Marjorie Crosby-Fairall. We worked together on One Christmas Eve, published by Black Dog Books last year.
