Book Signings
I’ll be reading and signing books and talking about Queenie One Elephant’s Story (and I’ll have a pretend cake, made by the Greensborough Cake Decorating Centre, which is a copy of the one made for the re-launch at the Melbourne Zoo on January 22 this year and a replica of the cake made to celebrate Queenie’s birthday in 1939).
I’ll also be signing copies of ‘The Dog on the Tuckerbox’ and ‘Flame Stands Waiting’.

Queenie Paperback Launch
At 2 p.m. on Sunday 22nd January, 2012, Minister for the Environment, The Hon. Ryan Smith launched the first paperback edition of Queenie’s unforgettable story, Queenie: One Elephant’s Story, at Melbourne Zoo’s Trail of the Elephants. There was lots of media coverage, we even made the Channel 9 News.
In January 2012 I attended the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators Conference in New York. It was an absolute privilege to be there.
In April 2010 I delivered presentations and conducted workshops at schools, festivals, bookshops and clubs all over Melbourne as well as at the Australian International School in Singapore, the Australian School Library Association in Tasmania and for a writers’ group at the Mildura Library in October.
